Personalize you dog's diet

To get started, fill in the form below with your dog’s details, and we’ll calculate the best diet and the right number of kcals needed for a healthy, balanced routine.

A perfect diet should be nutritious and tailored to your dog’s age, size, activity level, and overall health. If you’re unsure about your dog’s needs—especially if they’re a puppy or senior—we always recommend speaking with your vet.

Important Notes

If your dog’s weight has changed, make sure to also update their Body Condition Score (BCS) - this has a bigger impact on calorie needs than weight alone.

Please note: This calculator is designed for adult dogs only. Puppies typically need significantly more calories, and senior dogs may require adjustments based on age, health, and activity levels. If in doubt, chat with your vet or feel free to drop us a message.

Subscription Term

You can choose either a Weekly or Biweekly subscription plan for your dog. Depending on your dog’s weight and condition, the Weekly option may be better for storage and freshness.

Signalment

Signalment is a term used to describe your pet’s species and reproductive status. Intact (un-neutered) dogs typically need more calories than neutered ones.

Weight / Unit

Before doing the calculation, we convert your dog’s weight from pounds to kilograms. This is standard in veterinary practice and ensures the most accurate result.

BCS - Body Condition Score

Body Condition Score (BCS) is one of the most important factors in determining how much your dog should eat.

  • Overweight dogs need fewer calories to safely lose excess fat.
  • Underweight dogs need more calories to gain healthy muscle and weight.

If your dog’s weight has changed, don’t forget to reassess their BCS - this helps ensure they continue to get the right amount of food.

Activity Level

Exercise plays a huge role in how many calories your dog needs. Less active dogs require fewer calories, while highly active dogs may need more to stay energized and healthy.

Vet Disclaimer

Note: If your dog is underweight or overweight, speak to your usual veterinarian before following this formula. There may be an underlying health condition, and sudden changes in calorie intake can be harmful.
